M. Gregory Smith

Investment Advisor & Public Account

After graduating UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Accounting, Gregg went to
work in SF for the Big 8 CPA firm of Ernst & Ernst.  He continued his tax
education in the Master’s night program at GGU.  Gregg thereafter co-founded and managed a regional CPA firm.  In 1986 Gregg’s interest in financial planning lead him to Investment Advisory as well as public accounting.  His involvement in two affiliated businesses continues as well as his service for the AICPA on its financial planning task force, with responsibility in review, edit and writing of questions related to the financial planning certification associated with the CPA exam.
