Jon Spurlock

Founder, Business Advisor

Jon serves as a business advisor to the San Quentin News staff.  In 2016, he founded the Friends of San Quentin News nonprofit to support the newspaper with charitable fundraising and outside operations, and to help the staff achieve their vision of providing free access to the San Quentin News to the incarcerated in every California facility (spoiler alert: they did it!).  Jon is a veteran of the US Navy and has worked since 2011 in various industries and roles in business and technology management and strategy.
